Schumann fancies he can compose, Brahms is a giftless bastard and Debussy is simply ugly. Igudesman creates a sardonic melange of the most evil music critics of the last centuries about some of the greatest works of chamber music. Malkovich slips into the role of the evil music critic, who believes the music of Ravel and co is weary and dreary. Julian Rachlin, Janine Jansen, Richard Hyung-ki Joo and other great musician beg to differ.

…will score the documentary “Jealous of the Birds”

Jealous of the Birds, currently in post-production, is a feature length documentary that provides a new angle and new stories to the pantheon of Holocaust related documentaries.
The film focuses on the emotional history of a small community of Holocaust Survivors who remained in Frankfurt, Germany after liberation from Nazi death camps, and asks the question, ‘Why would a Survivor choose to remain in Germany — shoulder to shoulder with their perpetrators?‘
